Eurasian Development Bank annual meeting, business forum starts in Almaty

ALMATY, June 27. /ARKA/. The annual meeting and the business forum of the Eurasian Development Bank started in Kazakhstan's Almaty, as reported by an ARKA newsperson.

“We are all working on the development of the Central Asian region, for the benefit of the economies of our countries, for the benefit of the citizens who live in this huge and interesting region,” said EDB Chairman of the Board Nikolay Podguzov at the opening ceremony.

He expressed confidence that communication within the framework of the meeting and forum will continue to create opportunities for the development of the region, so that more projects are implemented, contributing to the sustainable and rapid growth of the region.

Representatives of multilateral development banks, international organizations, business, scientific and expert communities, professional associations and journalists from different countries will unite at this platform to exchange experiences, discuss current issues and outline ways for joint development.

The business forum will become a catalyst for fruitful discussions, new ideas and solutions affecting the economy of the Eurasian region.

As part of the business program, the participants will discuss a wide range of topics, including global economic trends and their impact on the Eurasian region, investments in sustainable development, digital technologies and innovations for Eurasia, and the potential of the Eurasian transport framework.

The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) is a multilateral development bank carrying out investment activities in the Eurasian space. For more than 18 years, the EDB has been promoting the strengthening and expansion of economic ties and the comprehensive development of its member countries. The EDB's authorized capital is $7 billion.
