YEREVAN, September 18. /ARKA/. Fines for failure to comply with established requirements for high-risk construction sites in Yerevan will be from 1.5 million to 2 million drams, up from the previous 70,000 drams. This was announced by Julietta Azaryan, press secretary of the Yerevan Mayor.

She stated that the Yerevan Municipality calls on companies to comply with sanitary and hygienic standards at construction sites, construction site fencing requirements, and other established standards.

Dust concentrations in the atmosphere regularly exceed permissible limits in Yerevan. Experts cite motor vehicles, construction work, and industrial activity as sources of dust pollution.

According to the Center for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring, exceeded maximum permissible concentrations of dust and nitrogen dioxide were recorded in Yerevan from September 9 to 15.

Dust concentrations exceeded the permissible level in the Kentron administrative district on September 9-10 and 15, and in Arabkir on September 10 and 12-15.
