YEREVAN, September 14. /ARKA/. The Armenian government on Thursday granted customs duty exemptions to five companies which plan to import goods and raw materials to enhance their production.

One of the companies is the manufacturer of self-adhesive tapes PAK PEN LLC, which is going to invest AMD 773 million in production expansion. The customs duty exemption is AMD 48.6 million.

Saranist glassware production company has planned to invest about 340 million drams in production enlargement. The customs duty exemption awarded to the company amounts to 43.4 million drams.

The manufacturer of detergents and cleaning agents GROM is going to invest 870 million drams in production and spend 200 million drams on purchase of raw materials and in fixed assets, create 38 new jobs with an average monthly salary of up to 250 thousand drams. The cost of goods submitted for exemption is 870 million drams, the amount of the benefit is 55.5 million drams.

V.A.S. Trans manufacturer of metal and gypsum board constructions plans to invest about AMD 797 million, the customs duty benefit is AMD 53 million. The company will create 40 new jobs with an average monthly salary of 200-250 thousand drams.

ASCE GROUP has planned to invest 1 billion drams in the purchase of machine tools for the production of steel reinforcement and steel grinding balls. The customs duty exemption will amount to 95.5 million drams. The company will create 93 new jobs with an average monthly salary of up to 360 thousand drams. ($1 - 386.04 drams). -0-
