Food products in Armenia rose by 1.7 per cent year-on-year in November

YEREVAN, 4 December. /ARKA/. Prices of food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose by 1.7% in November 2024 against November 2023, the National Statistical Committee's report shows.

Bread rose in price by 1.8%, flour by 5.1%, but pasta fell in price by 6.3%, rice by 1.1%, buckwheat by 17.2%, spelt by 6% and bulgur by 1.7%.

In November, pork decreased in price by 3.4% year-on-year, poultry meat - by 3.9%, while mutton increased by 4.8% . Fish and seafood prices increased by 5 per cent in November 2024 to November 2023.

At the same time, fresh milk in November over the year fell in price by 2.1 per cent, eggs rose in price by 1.4 per cent and cheese fell in price by 4.8 per cent.

At the same time, butter increased in price by 2.8%, vegetable sunflower oil - by 1%, and margarine fell in price by 13.2%. Fruits in November rose in price by 3% over the year. Prices for vegetables increased by 8%. At the same time, sugar fell in price by 3.5% and confectionery by 2.5%. Coffee in November rose in price by 14.9% over the year.

Prices for mineral or spring water, as well as bottled drinking water in November increased by 1.8% over the year. Alcoholic beverages in November rose in price by 7.4% compared to November 2023, while vodka went up in price by 10.2%, wine became cheaper by 1.3%, and beer increased in price by 3.7%.

Tobacco products in November increased in price by 1.2% year-on-year. Armenia recorded inflation of 1.4 per cent in November 2024 compared to November 2023. -0-
