Food prices in Armenia shed 3% in June, compared with May

Prices for foods in Armenia went 3% down in June, compared with the previous month, mostly due to 30.9-7.4 decrease in prices for vegetables, potatoes and eggs.
YEREVAN, July 7. /ARKA/. Prices for foods in Armenia went 3% down in June, compared with the previous month, mostly due to 30.9-7.4 decrease in prices for vegetables, potatoes and eggs.
Vegetables and potatoes fell 30.9% in June 2015, compared with May 2015, and 6.9%, compared with June 2014.
Egg prices shed 7.4% in June 2015, compared with the previous month, but rose 4.1%, compared with June 2014.
Prices for dairy products showed a 1.7% month-on-month decrease and a 12.2% year-on-year increase in June 2015.
Fish products became 1.4% and 12.2% cheaper respectively.
Meat products slid 0.6% in June 2015, compared with May 2015, but rose 4.1%, compared with the same month a year before.
Sugar prices showed 0.5% month-on-month decrease and 3.3% year-on-year increase in June 2015.
Prices for fruits grew 13.3% over one month and 21.1% over one year.
Coffee, tea and cocoa rose 0.1%, other products 0.2%, confectionery 0.3%, light drinks 0.3% and vegetable fats and adipose 0.4% in June 2015, compared with the previous month.
Consumer prices in Armenia slipped 1.4% in June 2015, compared with May 2015, but went 5.5% up, compared with June 2014.
In the government budget for 2015, inflation is projected at 4% (±1.5%) and GDP growth at 4.1%. -0-----
