A former member of the Armenian National Assembly Hakob Hakobyan was detained today on suspicion of committing economic crimes, the ministry of finance said.

YEREVAN, February 2. / ARKA /. A former member of the Armenian National Assembly Hakob Hakobyan was detained today on suspicion of committing economic crimes, the ministry of finance said.

It said Hakobyan was detained as part of a criminal case, being investigated by its Investigative Department.

The former MP is suspected of running illegal businesses, inflicting large scale damages to individuals, organizations or the state and of complicity in evasion of taxes, duties and other mandatory payments.-0-
