YEREVAN, 23 September. /ARKA/. Four Armenian companies imported goods from Georgia, presenting them as imports from the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), as a result of which they evaded paying huge taxes, the Investigative Committee reports.

The companies declared goods worth more than 285 million drams, paying about 36 million drams in taxes.

In reality, about 783 million drams worth of products were imported and more than 176 million drams should have been paid as taxes.

The Investigation Committee established that as a result of the fraudulent scheme the total damage to the state amounted to about 141 million drams.

At the moment the damage of 109 million drams has been recovered. --0--
