Friendship Bridge: Yerevan and Lyon sign three-year cooperation agreement

YEREVAN, April 15. /ARKA. An agreement on decentralized three-year cooperation between Yerevan and Lyon was signed by the Mayor of the Armenian capital, Tigran Avinyan, the Mayor of Lyon, Grégory Doucet, and the President of the Lyon Metropolis, Bruno Bernard.
According to the press service of Yerevan Municipality, the three-year cooperation program provides for the exchange of experience and the implementation of joint projects aimed at developing local self-government systems and improving the quality of public services.
During a meeting with Avinyan, the Mayor of Lyon noted that the visit to Lyon, in turn, would create new opportunities for the implementation of joint projects.
Avinyan, emphasizing the importance of deepening cooperation with French partner cities and regions, stated that the agreement will enable the implementation of effective joint programs in a number of mutually selected areas, including landscaping, urban planning, vocational education, culture, sports, Francophonie, tourism, and more.
