Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed a decree today to appoint Gevorg Papoyan as new Minister of Economy.

YEREVAN, March 5. /ARKA/. Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has signed a decree today to appoint Gevorg Papoyan as new Minister of Economy.

Papoyan is replacing Vahan Kerobyan, who resigned on February 14, 2024 amid a corruption scandal involving several officials of the ministry.

Papoyan was elected as a member of the Armenian Parliament in the June 2021 snap elections. In August he was elected Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Issues of the National Assembly. --0--
