Government discussed Economic Response Program
YEREVAN, January 27. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired today a meeting that looked into the draft Economic Response Program with a preliminary action plan, the press service of the government reported.
It said the draft deals with the 9th and 10th points of a roadmap, published by the Prime Minister on November 18. Point 9 deals with overcoming the coronavirus pandemic and eliminating its consequences, and point 10 with restoring the economic activity environment.
It was noted that the program provides for targeted, significant and visible actions aimed at stimulating economic activity. The program was developed taking into account the current challenges and problems.
The activities and steps provided for by the action plan were described in detail.
Summing up the results, the prime minister instructed the responsible officials to supplement the draft taking into account the proposals made and submit it for approval to the government.
On November 18, Pashinyan published a roadmap for overcoming the current situation in the country, establishing stability and security. He listed 15 points of the road map, promising to report on its implementation in June 2021, after which "taking into account public opinion and reaction, a decision will be made on further steps." -0-
