Government proposes to convene extraordinary session of parliament to discuss Russian Armenian agreements

The Armenian government has proposed to convene an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on December 20 to discuss a string of Armenian-Russian agreements signed during Russian president Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia on December 2.

YEREVAN, December 19. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has proposed to convene an extraordinary session of the National Assembly on December 20 to discuss a string of Armenian-Russian agreements signed during Russian president Vladimir Putin’s visit to Armenia on December 2.
According to chief of government staff, Vache Gabrielian, the package of documents include the agreement on supply of Russian natural gas, petroleum products and raw diamonds to Armenia, an agreement on gas pricing, as well as an agreement on the sale of the government’s 20 percent in ARG national gas distribution company to Russian Gazprom.
The deputies will also discuss proposed amendments to bills on state duty, budget system and motor transport.
On December 2 Armenia and Russia signed also an agreement on cooperation in the area of nuclear safety and an action plan for 2014-2017 to implement a long-term economic cooperation program until 2020. Also Russia’s largest oil company Rosneft and Armenian Oil Techno signed an agreement to set up a joint venture. -0-
