Government releases another 157 million drams as subventions for communities

The government of Armenia has approved today the release of another 157 million drams in subventions for the implementation of development projects in several communities.

YEREVAN, November 29. /ARKA/. The government of Armenia has approved today the release of another 157 million drams in subventions for the implementation of development projects in several communities. The funds are released as government’s co-financing of the projects, First Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Development Vache Terteryan said.
Some 59.9 million drams will be released for the implementation of projects in Gegharkunik, 8.7 million for Ararat, 6.4 million for Armavir, 5.2 million for Kotayk, 16 million for Syunik, 27 million for Lori and 64 million for Shirak provinces.
Terteryan said a total of 230 such projects have been designed, of which 179 have been approved, and 134 are already underway. Their total cost is 3 billion drams (1.7 billion drams come from community funds and 1.3 billion drams from the government.
The projects include asphalting and improvement of streets, energy saving , street lighting, construction and repair of irrigation systems and water supply, as well as construction and repair of kindergartens, cultural centers and community centers. ($1 – 485.05 drams). -0-
