The Armenian government has approved today some changes to the law on mandatory insurance of vehicles which would stop issuance of receipts for the service.

YEREVAN, December 26. / ARKA /. The Armenian government has approved today some changes to the law on mandatory insurance of vehicles which would stop issuance of receipts for the service.

The decision was forced by numerous instances of fake receipts.

The government said this made identification of vehicles by traffic police ineffective.

The changes in question provide for the exchange of information between the information system of the mandatory insurance of vehicles and the search and information system of the traffic police, which is expected to secure a more effective control and help reduce the number of uninsured vehicles. -0-
