YEREVAN, May 30. /ARKA/. Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s activity in 2012 was effective, Ara Vardanyan, the executive director of the fund, said Thursday at a news conference.

“The Control Chamber has considered all the reports and no problems have emerged,” he said Thursday responding to the questions journalists put to him after the 22nd session of the Council of Trustees of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund.

Representatives of the fund’s offices in other countries voiced their satisfaction at the work done in 2012.

Razmik Tamrazyan, a representative of the fund’s office in Austria, said everything planned for that year had been performed properly.

He said the money raised by the Armenian community in Austria is mostly targeted for supporting families of fallen soldiers and families of people with first-degree disability.

Tamrazyan said that the Armenian community in Austria raises $15,000 to 20,000 every year.

Harutyun Gevorgyan, a representative of the fund’s office in France, said that contrary to fears that the fund will raise less money in France because of the crisis and deterioration of living standards, the amount didn’t reduce, but even grew.

“We have noticed that the amount of the donated money grows 5-8% every year, and this gives us ground for hopes,” Gevorgyan said. He said the fund’s French office started functioning yet 20 years ago.

Representatives of Hayastan All-Armenian Fund’s offices in Canada, Italy and other countries said the same is going on in these countries.

Hayastan All Armenian Fund was established in 1992 for implementation of national projects and development of infrastructures in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh Republic.

The trustees’ board headed by the Armenian president includes respected representatives of Armenian communities worldwide. -0-
