Head of State Revenue Committee of Armenia reveals joint projects with Iran, Georgia, and United States
YEREVAN, October 24. /ARКА/. Eduard Hakobyan, the Chairman of Armenia's State Revenue Committee, outlined advancements in international collaboration with various partner nations.
"Armenia and Iran are currently in active negotiations concerning an agreement for a simplified customs corridor, which is expected to be finalized shortly," Hakobyan stated during a press conference on Friday.
He further revealed that discussions are ongoing regarding the establishment of a joint checkpoint with Georgia.
"A working group has been formed to facilitate joint services on the Gogavan-Gugut route," Hakobyan mentioned.
Hakobyan also noted that collaboration with the United States is progressing significantly in the realms of capacity building, procurement of equipment for the customs system, and the execution of several advanced monitoring systems.-0-
