International Monetary Fund forecasts a 2.9 percent GDP growth for Armenia in 2017 and 2018.

YEREVAN, April 19. /ARKA/. International Monetary Fund forecasts a 2.9 percent GDP growth for Armenia in 2017 and 2018.
In its World Economic Outlook, the IMF says that a 1.4 percent deflation in 2016 will be followed by a two-percent inflation rate in 2017 and 3.5% inflation in 2018.
As a whole, economic growth in the Commonwealth of Independent States is expected to stand at 1.7% in 2017 and at 2.1% in 2018.
Economic decline is expected in Azerbaijan (1%) and in Belarus (0.8%) in 2017, while other CIS countries will enjoy economic growth. In particular, Russia is predicted to record 1.4%, Kazakhstan 2.5%, Uzbekistan 6%, Turkmenistan 6.5%, Ukraine 2%, Georgia 3.5%, Tajikistan 4.5%, Kyrgyzstan 3.4% and Moldova 4.5%.
In the Armenian government budget for 2017, GDP growth is projected at 3.2%.
In its latest outlook, the World Bank forecasts a 3.2% GDP growth for Armenia in 2017 and the United National Organization predicts 2.7%. --0----
