In August, 12-month inflation in Armenia amounted to 3.6%, while prices increased by 0.2% over the month

YEREVAN, September 3. /ARKA/. In August 2025, inflation in Armenia reached 3.6% compared to August 2024, while there was a 0.2% increase over the month.

According to the NSC, in August 2025, food products and soft drinks saw a price increase of 4.9% compared to August 2024, while prices remained stable over the month. In August, the prices of alcoholic beverages and tobacco rose by 6.6% year-on-year, and by 0.2% compared to July of the current year.
Clothing and footwear prices increased by 0.1% in August 2024 (with a monthly rise of 0.4%), while utility costs rose by 0.5% (with a monthly increase of 0.7%).
The prices of household goods, appliances, and daily apartment maintenance services increased by 2.7% year-on-year in August, and by 0.6% over the month.
In the healthcare sector, the price growth over the year was 3.7% (with a monthly increase of 0.1%), while the transport sector recorded a growth of 6% (with a monthly rise of 0.5%). In the communications sector, prices remained unchanged year-on-year (with a monthly increase of 0.3%), while the recreation and culture sector experienced a growth of 2.1% (with a monthly decrease of 0.5%).
Education saw a price increase of 7.8% (with no change over the month), and the restaurant and hotel sectors experienced a growth of 2.1% (with a monthly increase of 0.3%). Additionally, various goods and services saw a year-on-year price increase of 1.2% (with a monthly decrease of 0.1%).
Furthermore, statistics indicate that in the non-food market, prices in August of this year increased by 1.1% compared to August of the previous year, and by 0.4% compared to July of the same year. Moreover, the growth of service tariffs for the population in August 2025 was 3.2% year-on-year, and 0.3% for the month.
