In H1 Armenia's gross agricultural, forestry, and fish farming output increased by 7.2% to AMD 353.6 billion

According to the National Statistical Committee, the output in Armenia's agriculture, forestry, and fish farming sectors amounted to AMD 353,652.5 million at current prices in the first half of 2025, marking a 7.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. According to the National Statistical Committee, the output in Armenia's agriculture, forestry, and fish farming sectors amounted to AMD 353,652.5 million at current prices in the first half of 2025, marking a 7.3% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

Agricultural production increased by 7.3% during the reporting period, reaching 316,087.7 billion drams. Meanwhile, the production volume in the livestock sector was 173,095.6 million drams, up 3% from January–June of last year.

In the crop production sector, output was 142,992.1 million drams, up 13.4%. During the first half of this year, 39.9 thousand tons of farm animal and poultry meat (in live weight) were sold to slaughterhouses, marking a 5% increase.

Additionally, 328.1 thousand tons of milk were produced, reflecting a 1.2% decrease; meanwhile, 447.2 million eggs were produced, marking a 12.5% increase.

During the same period, the following crops were grown: 2.7 thousand tons of grain and legumes (an 8% increase); 39.7 thousand tons of potatoes (an 8.1% decrease); 102.4 thousand tons of vegetables (a 3.2% increase); 6.3 thousand tons of melons and gourds (a 22.2% increase); 89.8 thousand tons of fruits and berries (a 9.2% increase); and 110.3 million flowers (a 50.5% increase).

In the forestry sector, the production volume from January to June was 1.5789 billion drams (approximately $3.9 million), which is an increase of 89.1%. In the fishery sector, the production volume was 35.9859 billion drams (USD 90.8 million), a 5.1% increase. (1 USD = 383.68 AMD).-0-
