In May 2025, compared to May 2024, inflation in Armenia amounted to 4.3%, while over the month it increased by 0.3%. This is evidenced by the data of the report of the National Statistical Committee (NSC) of Armenia.

YEREVAN, June 4. /ARKA/. In May 2025, compared to May 2024, inflation in Armenia amounted to 4.3%, while over the month it increased by 0.3%. This is evidenced by the data of the report of the National Statistical Committee (NSC) of Armenia.

According to the NSC, in May 2025, compared to May 2024, prices for food products and soft drinks increased by 7.4%, while over the month they increased by 0.5%.

In May, alcohol and tobacco products increased in price by 5.8% over the year, while over April of this year they increased by 0.4%. Prices for clothing and footwear in May 2024 decreased by 1.5% (up 0.3% over the month), while prices for utilities increased by 1.4% (down 0.3% over the month). Household goods, household appliances, and daily apartment maintenance activities increased in price by 0.1% in April, and by 0.7% over the month. In May, the growth of prices in the healthcare sector over the year amounted to 3.4% (growth over the month by 0.3%), in the transport sector, growth of 4.2% was recorded (growth over the month by 0.1%), the decline in the communications sector amounted to 0.6% (growth over the month - 0%), in the recreation and culture sector - growth of 0.6% (growth over the month by 1.7%), education - 7.8% (0%), in the restaurant and hotel sectors - 2.4% (growth over the month by 1.4%), and for various goods and services in May over the year, prices decreased by 0.3% (decrease over the month - 0.1%). At the same time, according to statistics, in the non-food market in May of this year, compared to May last year, prices decreased by 0.1%, and compared to April of the same year, they increased by 0.1%. In addition, the growth of tariffs for services for the population in May 2025 for the year amounted to 3.1%, and for the month - 0.1%. Economic growth of Armenia in the state budget for 2025 is envisaged at 5.1%. According to the Central Bank's report on monetary policy for the first quarter of this year, by the end of 2025, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be within 7-4.5%, in 2026 - 4.7-4.1%, in 2027 - 4.7-6.1%. -0-
