Industrial output in Nagorno-Karabakh grows by 8.5% in seven months

The industrial output in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in the first seven months of 2015 surged by 8.5% from the year before to about 30 billion drams in current prices, according to the latest figures, released today by the local statistical service.

STEPANAKERT, August 27. / ARKA /. The industrial output in the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in the first seven months of 2015 surged by 8.5% from the year before to about 30 billion drams in current prices, according to the latest figures, released today by the local statistical service.
The mining industry and quarries were reported to have accounted for 26.8% of the output, the processing sector for 37%, supplies of electricity, natural gas and steam accounted for 35.1%, while supplies of drinking water and waste management accounted for 1.1%.
Sales of finished products in the same time span stood at about 29.5 billion drams in current prices. Sales of meat, including poultry, amounted to 4,141 metric tons. Also 35,117 tons of milk and 371,600 pieces of eggs were produced. It was said also that some 18.5 billion drams worth construction was implemented, by 30% less from the year before.-0-
