Inflation in Armenia reaches the Central Bank’s target range – EDB

YEREVAN, March 10. /ARKA/. Inflation has reached the target range set by the Central Bank of Armenia, according to the weekly macroeconomic review by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).
In Armenia's state budget for 2025, inflation is projected to be 3% (±1%). Consumer price growth accelerated to 2.5% year-on-year (y/y) in February, compared to 1.7% y/y in January.
"The acceleration of price growth was driven by the rise in food prices (+4.5% y/y in February, up from +2.5% y/y the previous month) and a slowdown in the pace of price decreases in the non-food segment (-0.3% y/y after -1.5% y/y)," the report states.
EDB analysts have confirmed their earlier forecast of accelerating price growth in the coming months, with inflation expected to remain close to the Central Bank of Armenia's target.
