Karabakh president visits Kashatagh water reservoir construction site

Nagorno-Karabakh Republic president Bako Sahakyan visited the Kashatagh region the day before to see the pace of the construction of a new water reservoir at the confluence of Hagar and Aghavni rivers.

STEPANAKERT, July 23. / ARKA /.Nagorno-Karabakh Republic president Bako Sahakyan visited the Kashatagh region the day before to see the pace of the construction of a new water reservoir at the confluence of Hagar and Aghavni rivers.
President Sahakyan said the water reservoir when completed will expand irrigated areas and increase the production of electricity.
Sahakyan expressed gratitude to philanthropist Vardan Sermakeshu for active participation in the project.
Sahakyan spoke of the strategic importance of Kashatagh region’s water resources saying the government will be paying particular attention to their use and observance of environmental standards.
The president was accompanied by prime minister Ara Harutyunyan and other officials. -0--
