Kerobyan: Armenia closes 2022 with 13-14% real economic and 22-23% nominal growth
YEREVAN, January 3. /ARKA/. Armenia's real economic growth in 2022 is expected to be around 13-14%, while the nominal growth will amount to 22-23%, Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said in an interview with Civilnet.
"This is a very good result and in terms of GDP per capita in U.S. dollars, we have a very impressive figure. We can say that we have changed the league and joined the list of some Eastern European countries," Kerobyan said.
According to him, per capita GDP in 2022 will be from $6600 to $6800. At the same time, Kerobyan said that 37,000 companies were created in Armenia in 2022, including 25 thousand individual entrepreneurs and 12 thousand CJSC, LLC and OJSC.
'Almost all companies operating in Armenia have seen a dramatic increase in their turnover and profitability," he said.
The original growth for 2022 projected by the government is 7%, while inflation is set at 4% (±1.5%).
Armenia's GDP in the third quarter of 2022 recorded an increase of 14.8% compared to the same period in 2021. -0-
