Kerobyan names main challenges for Armenia's economy in 2024
YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan listed today the main challenges Armenia's economy may face in 2024.
"There are risks from geopolitical developments. There is also dissatisfaction of business entities, related to the speed of decision-making on investment projects. We have a lot of work to do to reduce bureaucracy in this issue," Kerobyan said.
He also noted logistical problems, particularly those on the Red Sea, which could affect Armenia's economic growth.
"Risks in the mining sector are also obvious, including possible sanctions, which would affect the overall economic growth," Kerobyan said.
He also pointed to the probability of outflow of IT personnel and exodus of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, particularly, to Russia.
"We realize that faster steps or longer-term measures are needed for integration of these people into economic and social life of Armenia," the minister said. -0-
