Khudatyan: only infrastructure projects approved by the government will be implemented in Armenia

YEREVAN, August 22. /ARKA/. David Khudatyan, the Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, addressed the remarks made by the Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure regarding the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" and its potential to enhance economic collaboration among Turkey, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.
In response to an inquiry from Armenpress, Khudatyan highlighted that only infrastructure initiatives that have been proposed, approved, or endorsed by the Armenian government are eligible for implementation in Armenia.
"These initiatives specifically include the North-South and Crossroads of Peace projects, along with the TRIPP program. Any other infrastructure projects under different titles will not be executed in Armenia," the minister stated.
He further mentioned that Armenia is keen on fostering economic cooperation with both Turkey and Azerbaijan. He pointed out that the transport aspect of this partnership is embedded in the Crossroads of Peace project, which includes the TRIPP program — Trump's Road to International Peace and Prosperity.
Khudatyan reminded that Armenia is actively preparing to initiate these projects and to open transport routes with Azerbaijan, in line with the declaration signed on August 8 in Washington by the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of Azerbaijan, and the President of the United States.
The minister also emphasized that Yerevan has publicly declared its willingness to restore the Gyumri-Kars railway link between Armenia and Turkey, which would enhance regional connectivity.-0-
