KPMG to present Armenia’s investment attractiveness at a Moscow forum

KPMG, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services, will present Armenia's investment attractiveness at a business forum in Moscow, KPMG Partner in Russia and the CIS, Viktor Akulyan, said at a meeting with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan.

YEREVAN, March 24. /ARKA/. KPMG, a global network of professional firms providing audit, tax and advisory services, will present Armenia's investment attractiveness at a business forum in Moscow, KPMG Partner in Russia and the CIS, Viktor Akulyan, said at a meeting with Armenian Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan.
Under a memorandum of intent signed Thursday by Suren Karayan and Viktor Akulyan, KPMG will prepare information materials on Armenia’s investment and business environment and present them at various international venues.
"Considering that Russia is one of the major investors in Armenia, we will present Armenia’s investment potential there in the first place. The focus will be on legislative and tax advantages and the reasons why Armenia can become a good hub for entering the EU," Akulyan said.
He noted that for this purpose KPMG, in cooperation with the several Armenian government agencies has developed an information brochure that presents legislation, key economic indicators of the country, as well as potential investment projects.
"We emphasized Armenia's potential in smart economy as a vector of development based on research potential, information and innovative technologies," Akulyan said.
For his part, Karayan noted that the brochure presents a real picture of the Armenian economy. The brochure developed by KPMG will be presented at various international forums and conferences.
