The South Caucasus Railway has considerably increased efficiency of its freight cars and locomotives in January-October 2013.

YEREVAN, November 20. /ARKA/. The South Caucasus Railway has considerably increased efficiency of its freight cars and locomotives in January-October 2013.
According to the company’s statistics, freight car cycle has been sped up almost by 0.3 days or 10%. Average car circulation period was 3 days, according to the report.
Average car efficiency reached 4,966ton-kilometer net per wagon per day, a 12.7% increase against the January-October 2012.
Locomotive efficiency indicators have also been improved. In particular, average daily mileage of locomotives was 393.2 loc-km, an increase of 8.4% compared to January-October the year before.
South Caucasus Railway cjsc is a 100% subsidiary of Russian Railways open joint stock company that is operating Armenian railways under a 30-year concession contract signed in 2008. The contract can be extended for another 10 years. –0--
