Manufacturing production in January-February 2026 amounted to 302,595.1 million drams, an increase of 14.5% compared to January-February 2025.
YEREVAN, April 7. /ARKA/. Manufacturing production in January-February 2026 amounted to 302,595.1 million drams, an increase of 14.5% compared to January-February 2025. This is according to data published by the Statistical Committee.
In February, manufacturing output amounted to 172,819.2 million drams, representing a 23.8% increase compared to February 2025 and a 32.1% increase compared to January 2026.
Food production accounted for the largest share of the industry's total output in January-February, accounting for 26.0%. This segment showed a 1.1% increase compared to January-February of the previous year, producing goods worth 78,746.9 million drams.
The top five sectors by share also included basic metals production, with a 23.2% share, a 46.9% increase, and a volume of 70,046.4 million drams; tobacco production, with a 16.1% share, a 2.5% increase, and a volume of 48,833.3 million drams; beverage production, with a 9.7% share, an 18.4% increase, and a volume of 29,484.5 million drams; and other non-metallic mineral products, with a 5.0% share, a 3.4% decrease, and a volume of 15,015.2 million drams.
Next in line are:
chemical production — 3.1%, a 2.9-fold increase, totaling 9,285.0 million drams;
printing and replication of recorded media — 2.2%, an increase of 4.0%, totaling 6,544.2 million drams;
rubber and plastic product production — 1.9%, a decrease of 8.1%, totaling 5,857.8 million drams;
clothing production — 1.9%, an increase of 17.6%, totaling 5,807.8 million drams;
electrical equipment production — 1.7%, an increase of 13.3%, totaling 5,162.5 million drams;
paper and paper product production — 1.5%, an increase of 1.4%, totaling 4,683.8 million drams;
Manufacture of finished metal products, excluding machinery and equipment, grew by 1.4%, up 32.7%, to a volume of 4,243.6 million drams;
Furniture production, up 1.2%, up 67.4%, to a volume of 3,476.3 million drams;
Manufacture of basic pharmaceuticals and preparations, up 0.8%, up 12.9%, to a volume of 2,452.0 million drams;
Manufacture of computers, electronics, and optical products, up 0.8%, up 73.5%, to a volume of 2,445.8 million drams;
Repair and installation of machinery and equipment, up 0.4%, up 10.4%, to a volume of 1,283.4 million drams;
Textile production, up 0.3%, up 18.7%, to a volume of 789.8 million drams;
Machinery and equipment manufacturing not included in other groups — 0.3%, a decline of 59.0%, to a volume of 779.0 million drams;
Leather product manufacturing — 0.2%, an increase of 2.1%, to a volume of 517.9 million drams;
Wood processing — 0.1%, an increase of 6.5%, to a volume of 363.6 million drams;
The share of manufacturing not included in other groups was 2.2% (an increase of 61.7%, to a volume of 6,694.3 million drams);
