Ministry of Economy clarified new requirements for selling goods from Armenia on Wildberries
YEREVAN, May 12. /ARKA/. A certificate of origin will now be required for goods produced in Armenia and other EAEU countries sold through the Wildberries e-commerce platform, the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy reported.

It is noted that a certificate of origin can be obtained from the RA Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

For goods subject to certification produced in Armenia (including in the EAEU), other required documents include a certificate of conformity and a quality declaration. For goods produced outside the EAEU, a customs declaration is required.

The RA Ministry of Economy advised that collection of the necessary documents be started early to ensure that the process under the implemented system is as smooth, accurate, and without delays as possible.

Regarding restrictions on marketplaces

On May 1 of this year, it was announced that sales of Armenian products on foreign markets via Wildberries and Ozon would be temporarily suspended.

The Wildberries-Armenia press service explained that the situation was due to the application of additional customs control procedures in the Russian Federation for certain categories of goods. The company noted that customs clearance regulations in Russia were amended on April 20, requiring sellers to provide additional documents as part of the updated procedures to comply with them.

Due to the new customs regulations and the need to provide additional documents to confirm the origin of goods, some shipments faced inspections and delays at sorting centers.

On May 8, Wildberries announced the gradual resumption of sales outside Armenia of some goods produced and labeled in Armenia.
