YEREVAN, December 10. /ARKA/. The ruling faction My Step presented Thursday at the parliamentary session Karen Arustamyan's candidacy for the post of a member of the Audit Chamber of Armenia.
As Deputy Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial-Credit and Budgetary Issues Artak Manukyan said, presenting the candidate, Arustamyan has been working in the public sector since 2004 - first in the State Tax Service, and from 2005 to 2020 - in the Control Chamber. In April 2020, by the decree of the Armenian president, Arustamyan was appointed an interim member of the Audit Chamber.
Arustamyan himself spoke about his actions in case of approval of his candidacy.
“I, as a candidate member of the Audit Chamber, if elected, am ready to participate in the development of the Chamber's activities and give it a second wind,” Arustamyan said.
As the main change in the work of the chamber, he pointed out the compliance of the Audit Chamber of Armenia with international audit standards and its formation as an independent state body. --0-
