YEREVAN, October 13. /ARKA/. About 40% of Armenia's exports go to Russia, Armenia’s Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said today when asked by reporters whether there were signs of boycotting Armenian products in Russia.

Vahan Hakobyan, customs attaché of the Armenian Embassy in Russia, said on October 3 that about 60 trucks with Armenian cognac were waiting at the Upper Lars checkpoint in Georgia to enter Russia after Russian authorities tightened quality checks.

Later he said the trucks went through the Upper Lars checkpoint after waiting for permission for days.

According to Hakobyan, no information has been received about problems with trucks carrying other goods from Armenia to Russia through the Upper Lars checkpoint.

Kerobyan also told reporters that there were no problems with diesel fuel in the country. "There were some problems with gasoline, but our first request was partially satisfied, " he explained.

At the same time, the minister could not say whether gasoline prices will go down, saying that it depends on the market.

The Armenian Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure noted earlier that the quota for gasoline and diesel fuel was exhausted, and the Armenian side requested an increase in the quota, which was partially satisfied.

As a result, Armenian importers were able to import 15,000 tons of gasoline and 20,000 tons of diesel fuel from Russia, despite the temporary ban on the export of these types of petroleum products.

According to the National Statistical Committee, Armenia's foreign trade with Russia in January-August 2023 reached $4.2 billion, increasing by 56.3% compared to the same period last year. Exports amounted to $2.3 billion with a 2.1-fold growth, while imports amounted to almost $2 billion (16.1% growth).

The share of Russia in Armenia's total foreign trade turnover in the first 8 months of this year amounted to 34.7%, the share of exports to Russia in the total volume of Armenian exports was 51.7%, and the share of imports was 25.9%. -0-
