Non-food prices grow by 0.1 percent in June

In June 2016 non-food prices in Armenia increased by 0.1% from May, according to the latest figures, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
YEREVAN, July 11. /ARKA/. In June 2016 non-food prices in Armenia increased by 0.1% from May, according to the latest figures, released today by the National Statistical Service (NSS).
The rise was driven mainly by a 0.4% increase in furniture prices, 0.5% increase in cooking utensils, 0.6% rise in carpet products and 0.7% rise in horticultural goods.
Besides, prices of building materials rose by 0.1%, prices of cosmetic products by 0.1% and prices of medicines by 0.2%.
At the same time, fuel prices fell by 1.7%, personal use products – by 1.4%, footwear – by 1%, textile products – by 0.7%, detergents – by 0.3%, recreational goods and jewelry – by 0.2%, clothing and embroidery – by 0.1%, and stationery – by 0.1%. Food prices in June 2016 decreased by 1.2% from the previous month. -0-
