Non-food prices in Armenia in January 2015 grew by 0.5%, if compared to 2014 December, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.

YEREVAN, February 9. / ARKA /. Non-food prices in Armenia in January 2015 grew by 0.5%, if compared to 2014 December, the National Statistical Service (NSS) said today.

The rise was driven by increased prices of horticultural products by 0.7%, construction products by 0.8%, kitchen utensils by 1.3%, fuel by 1.5%, textiles by 1.7%, pharmaceuticals by 1.7%, detergents by 1.8%, cosmetic products by 2.1%, carpets by 2.5%, gold products by 3%, furniture by 3.2%, recreational goods by 4.6% and consumer electronics by 5.1%.

The prices for stationery products increased by 0.3%. At the same time, prices of clothing fell by 2.9%, footwear by 1.2%. Prices of goods for personal use remained unchanged.-0-
