The number of sale-purchase deals on apartments in residential blocks in Armenia rose 13.3% throughout 2014 and prices went 0.8% up, Armine Davidyan, head of the Armenian State Real Estate Cadastre's coordinated monitoring division, said on Monday.

YEREVAN, February 23./ARKA/. The number of sale-purchase deals on apartments in residential blocks in Armenia rose 13.3% throughout 2014 and prices went 0.8% up, Armine Davidyan, head of the Armenian State Real Estate Cadastre's coordinated monitoring division, said on Monday.
She told journalists that the number of purchase-sale transactions in Yerevan rose 0.5% and in provinces 0.3%. A slight, increase in prices for immovable property was recorded in Yerevan and provinces – 0.8% and 0.7% respectively.
Davidyan singled out Yerevan's Kentron (Center) District for the highest price – 428,000 drams per one square meter in apartment blocks in 2014 against 427,000 in 2013, and Nubarashen for the lowest price – 155,600 drams in 2014 against 150,900 in 2013.
Hakob Baghdasaryan, head of Accern real estate agency, pointed out signs of changes in immovable property prices.
«Several years ago secondary housing cost 20% higher than new-built-houses, while now the prices became equal, and new construction market may outdo the secondary housing market in the future,» he said.
According to the Armenian State Real Estate Cadastre, the number of real estate transactions in the country rose 12.3% in 2014, compared with 2013, to 214,000.
About 33% of the deals were registered in Yerevan. Some 53,000 real estate alienation transactions were registered in Armenia in 2014. Purchase-sale deals made up about 75% of them. ($1 – AMD 478.91). ---0-----
