Over 5.3K real estate transactions made in Armenia in October, most by Russians
YEREVAN, December 9. /ARKA/. In October 2024, 5,333 purchase and sale transactions were made in the Armenian real estate market, compared to 4,580 transactions in October 2023 and 4,643 in September 2024, according to data from the National Statistical Committee of the country.
The largest number of transactions in the reporting month – 1,926 (36.1% of the total) – occurred in Yerevan, while the smallest number – 74 (1.4%) – was recorded in Vayots Dzor.
In the real estate market, land transactions prevail, accounting for 2,112 deals (41.6% of the total). There were also 1,190 transactions with apartments in multi-apartment buildings (28.5%), 728 transactions with residential houses (12.9%), 312 transactions with garages (12.2%), 180 transactions with public buildings (3.3%), and 58 transactions with industrial buildings (1.5%).
In October of this year, foreign citizens completed 157 real estate transactions in Armenia. Of these, 86 transactions were made by Russian citizens, 31 by citizens of European countries, 23 by U.S. citizens, 5 by citizens of CIS countries (excluding Russia), 1 by an Iranian citizen, and 11 by citizens of other countries.
Of the 157 real estate transactions made by foreign citizens, 69 were in the apartment market of multi-apartment buildings, 40 in the land market, 20 each in residential buildings and garages, 7 in the public building market, and 1 in the industrial building market. Foreigners purchased the most real estate in Yerevan (83 transactions) and the least in the Gegharkunik and Vayots Dzor regions (1 transaction each). There were no transactions in the Lori region.
In the reporting month of the current year, foreign citizens completed 212 real estate sales transactions in Armenia. Of these, 145 transactions were made by Russian citizens, 27 by citizens of European countries, 16 by U.S. citizens, 11 by citizens of CIS countries (excluding Russia), 3 by Iranian citizens, and 10 by citizens of other countries.
Of the 212 real estate sales transactions by foreign citizens, 85 were in the apartment market of multi-apartment buildings, 66 in the land market, 50 in residential buildings, 6 in garages, 3 in public buildings, and 2 in the industrial building market. Foreign citizens sold the most real estate in Yerevan (76 transactions) and the least in the Vayots Dzor region (1 transaction).
