YEREVAN, January 22. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan announced a reduction in gasoline prices.
He presented the following data on his Facebook page.
Gasoline price
Beginning of December – 510 drams/liter
Currently – 430 drams/liter
Difference – 80 drams/liter, or -15.7%
Diesel fuel price
Beginning of December – 480 drams/liter
Currently – 410 drams/liter
Difference – 70 drams/liter, or -14.6%
"One of the large gas station chains, which also purchased Azerbaijani petroleum products, will also begin selling this fuel at low prices in the coming days," the minister wrote.
In mid-December 2025, a 22-car train carrying 1,218 tons of A95 gasoline arrived in Armenia from Azerbaijan via Georgia by rail. In early January, it was reported that 7,600 tons of Azerbaijani petroleum products (gasoline and diesel fuel) were on route.
Rail freight transportation from Azerbaijan to Armenia became possible thanks to agreements reached between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Washington on August 8, as well as memoranda of understanding signed between the governments of the United States and Armenia.
