Papoyan names sectors that showed growth in exports to EU in 7 months

YEREVAN, August 18. /ARKA/. Armenian Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan revealed the growth in exports to the European Union in three areas in the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period last year.
"Finished food products surged by 56%, alcoholic beverages by 20%, and aluminum products by 35%," he announced in a Facebook post.
According to the minister, these growth figures are due to the government's assistance program, which compensates for customs duties on exports of finished products to the EU.
According to the latest Armstat data, Armenia's trade turnover with EU countries in the first half of 2025 was $1.2 billion, a 9.5% increase compared to January–June 2024.
Exports increased by 1.8% during the reporting period, reaching $286.8 million. The top three export destinations are the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany. -0-
