YEREVAN, March 6. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, on the second day of his visit to Egypt, today visited the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce and Industry and met with local businessmen.

Pashinyan spoke about the high rates of economic growth in Armenia 'despite instability and problems in the region and the world.'

In particular, he noted that tax revenues have increased by about 92% over the past 6 years.

Pashinyan also spoke about various business stimulus programs developed by the government, which may be attractive for foreign investors as well.

"The Armenian government is currently implementing investment projects worth about 1 billion dollars in various sectors, which is a very big figure for Armenia. We also have plans to support potential investors, including those involved in procurement. We have a program of modernization of economy, for example, construction companies can purchase quality construction machinery, vehicles and production equipment with the help of state subsidies," the Prime Minister stressed.

He also noted the country's great tourism potential, as well as great prospects in the development of winemaking and export of alcoholic beverages.

Pashinyan also spoke about the government's project to build an Academic Campus to house public and private universities.

"Our education and science policy implies big investments, and our goal is to make Armenia a country with high-tech economy and production," the Prime Minister said.-0-
