YEREVAN, July 28. /ARКА/. From January to June 2025, Armenia's industrial sector continued to decline, with a year-over-year decrease of 12.1%. This decline was caused by the exhaustion of the positive effects of increased foreign trade in precious metals and their processing at the beginning of last year, according to a weekly macro review by the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB).

It notes that economic activity in Armenia increased by 6.3% y/y in January-June 2025 due to the services (+9.8%), trade (+3.9%) and construction (+18.5%) sectors.

"For the same reason, negative dynamics of exports and imports continued in January-June (minus 52.8% y/y and minus 38.6% y/y, respectively). We forecast economic growth in Armenia by 5.5% in 2025." - the EDB study says.

Armenia's economic growth in the state budget for 2025 is envisaged at 5.1%. According to the Central Bank, Armenia's GDP growth is expected to be 5.1-4.6% in 2025.

The EDB forecasts Armenia's GDP growth at 5.5% in 2025. The WB expects Armenia's economy to grow by 4% in 2025, the IMF - by 4.5%, the EBRD - by 5%, and the ADB - by 6%.-0-
