Prices for over 900 varieties of imported commodities to soar in Armenia - paper

On January 1, customs duties were increased for 900 varieties of the commodities imported into Armenia from countries which are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, Zhoghovurd reported on Tuesday.

YEREVAN, February 4. /ARKA/. On January 1, customs duties were increased for 900 varieties of the commodities imported into Armenia from countries which are not members of the Eurasian Economic Union, Zhoghovurd reported on Tuesday.
According to the daily, prices for these 900 products are expected to go 0.5% up within one month. Duty for chicken meat have already leapt 25% and is expected to lump 50% in 2021.
The customs duty for frozen beef rose 15% on January 1, 2020. It is expected to climb 25% in 2021 and 50% in 2022.
Customs duty rate for imported liquefied gas is expected to rise 10% every year in 2020-2022. -0---
