Quota for duty-free import of electric vehicles to Armenia for 2024 exhausted
YEREVAN, October 17. /ARKA/. Armenian State Revenue Committee reported that the annual quota for duty-free import of electric vehicles into the country has been exhausted.
The previously established quota for 2024 of 7,400 electric vehicles was increased by 600 electric vehicles by the government decision of October 10, 2024. The specified quantity was imported and underwent the corresponding customs clearance with zero duty in the period from October 1 to 16.
From now on, when clearing imported electric vehicles through customs, according to the rules of the EAEU, a customs duty of 25% will be applied until the end of 2024.
Earlier, by the government decision, a quota for the duty-free import of 8,000 electric vehicles was established for 2025. -0-
