Real estate transactions in November 2011 grew by 6% from October to 17,009

The number of real estate transactions in Armenia in November 2011 grew by 6% from October to a total of 17,009, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre said. The largest number of transactions -38%- were reported in Yerevan; the smallest 3.4% in Tavush province.
YEREVAN, January 9. /ARKA/. The number of real estate transactions in Armenia in November 2011 grew by 6% from October to a total of 17,009, the State Committee of Real Estate Cadastre said. The largest number of transactions -38%- were reported in Yerevan; the smallest 3.4% in Tavush province.

Kotayk province accounted for 11.9% of the total number of transactions, Lori for 7.2%, Gegharkunik for 5.3%, Armavir for 7.9%, and Shirak for 7.7%. Some 7.1% of the total transactions were reported by Aragatsotn region, 6.4% by Ararat; Vayots Dzor and Syunik regions accounted for 5.4% and 4.9% of transactions respectively.

According to official numbers, about 24.4% of the transactions were sale and purchase of real estate, 18.2% were first registration of real estate. In addition, 13.1% of the total transactions were real estate successions, 13.8% were real estate mortgaging transactions, and 3.8% were home rentals. It is noteworthy that no real estate privatization transactions were registered during the reporting period.-0-
