A chocolate and confectionery factory for the ‘’Vellar Group’’ is being built in Armenia.
YEREVAN, January 21. /ARKA/. A chocolate and confectionery factory for the ‘’Vellar Group’’ is being built in Armenia.
According to the press service of the Armenian Ministry of Economy, approximately €120 million has already been invested, with an additional €25 million planned for the near future.
The factory covers approximately 25 hectares and is equipped with modern equipment, primarily from leading German and Danish companies. It is expected to be fully operational within three years, bringing production volume to 200 tons per day.
The factory plans to produce a wide range of confectionery products: chocolate and caramel candies, protein and fruit bars, chocolate-covered cookies and wafers, as well as high-quality Armenian chocolate-covered dried fruits. ‘’Vellar Group’’, a company within the Swedish international business group GNG, took advantage of government support instruments: a customs duty exemption and the "infrastructure for investment" program.
