Regulator found violations of quality standards in ice cream samples of the Grand Candy company

The Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia, as part of the monitoring carried out on the ice cream market, presented the results of the examination of samples taken from production facilities belonging to “Martin Star” LLC and “Grand Candy”.

YEREVAN, June 5. /ARKA/. The Food Safety Inspectorate of Armenia, as part of the monitoring carried out on the ice cream market, presented the results of the examination of samples taken from production facilities belonging to “Martin Star” LLC and “Grand Candy”.

According to the regulator's press service, the ice cream samples "Vanilla Plombir "Sandwich" with chocolate cookies", "Chocolate Plombir "Sandwich" with chocolate cookies", "Vanilla Plombir", "Love Plombir with cream, glazed", "Chocolate Plombir" with milk fat did not meet the standards established by law for the bacteriological indicators of coliform bacteria (bacteria of the Escherichia coli group), and the last sample also did not meet the indicators of MAFAB (mesophilic aerobic facultative anaerobic bacteria).

Ice cream "Family Chocolate", "Family Vanilla", "Eskimo Chocolate with Glaze", "Eskimo Vanilla with Glaze" with milk fat substitute did not meet the standards established by law for the mass fraction of milk fat and indicators of coliform bacteria, and the first 2 samples also did not meet the indicators of MAFAB. No violations were found in the samples of milk ice cream "Waffle cone chocolate", "Vanilla", "Chocolate", "Strawberry-flavored sandwich", "Vanilla ice cream in glaze", "Chocolate briquette" produced by Martin Star LLC (trademark: "Ot Martina").

An examination of ice cream from 3 more companies is underway, the results will be published as soon as they are ready.

Some functions of the production activities of Grand Candy LLC have been suspended, a deadline has been set for eliminating the identified violations. Orders will be issued to prohibit the sale, recall from the market, destroy or dispose of this product. Let us recall that ice cream samples taken from 12 production facilities were sent for laboratory examination (Tamara, Grand Candy, Tamara and Ani, Martin Star, Artsvit, Nairi Land, Pink Berry, Marnik, Igit, Ashtarak Milk, individual entrepreneurs Azat Kazanchyan, Eduard Karapetyan). A few days earlier, the regulator found violations in ice cream samples produced by 6 companies. -0-
