YEREVAN, August 5. /ARKA/. Traffic through the Dilijan Tunnel will be closed at night from August 6 due to repair work, the Road Department of Armenia reports.

“From August 6, at night (from 00:00 to 06:00), traffic through the Dilijan Tunnel will be closed for all types of vehicles. Repair work will be carried out on the roadway of the tunnel,” the report says.

The road department reported that at night, vehicles with a permitted maximum weight of up to 7 tons can bypass the tunnel through the village of Semenovka. For vehicles weighing more than 7 tons and with trailers, this bypass will be closed at night.

Traffic through the tunnel will be open during the day.

The department also stated that additional information will be provided regarding the restoration of traffic in the tunnel during night hours.
