YEREVAN, 23 December. /ARKA/. Armenia and Russia with the support of the Russian Export Centre (REC) have signed a contract on supplying Armenia with 1.75 million doses of foot and mouth disease (FMD) vaccine, Vigen Yenokyan, head of REC's representative office in Armenia, told Tass news agency.

“This volume of supplies is enough to meet Armenia’s needs in 2025. This step is aimed at strengthening Armenia's epizootic security and contributing to the development of export potential of its agro-industrial complex,” Yenokyan said.

He also noted that the conclusion of this contract emphasises Armenia's trust in Russian veterinary technologies and the importance of cooperation in the sphere of agriculture for both countries.

“This is a mutually beneficial step contributing to the protection of animal health, economic development and strengthening of partnership relations between Russia and Armenia,” the REC representative added.

The contract was signed during the 23rd session of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation between Russia and Armenia.

The Russian Export Centre (REC Group, part of VEB.RF) is a state agency supporting non-resource non-energy exports, providing financial and non-financial assistance to companies of all industries at all stages of entering foreign markets.
