YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Wheat of Russian origin is currently being transported by rail from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan, RA Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan announced on social media.

He noted that wheat of Kazakh origin is also en route and will arrive in Armenia in the coming days, again via Azerbaijan.

On October 21, it was announced that the President of Azerbaijan lifted all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia through his territory. The first consignment of goods delivered in this manner was wheat from Kazakhstan.

Yerevan welcomed the Azerbaijani leader's statement, emphasizing its importance for opening regional communications, strengthening mutual trust, and institutionalizing the peace established between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
