Service sector in Armenia grew by 9.9% in 4 months, reaching 1.2 trillion drams

YEREVAN, June 11. /ARKA/. The volume of the service sector in Armenia in January-April 2025 amounted to 1,173,420.7 million drams (in current prices), increasing by 9.9% compared to January-April 2024. This was reported by the National Statistical Committee of the Republic.
At the same time, in April 2025, this figure amounted to 309,167.9 million drams, an increase of 5.6% compared to April last year, and a decline of 0.8% compared to March of the same year.
In the overall structure of the service sector, the largest share (32.4%) falls to the share of financial and insurance activities - the volume of this segment for January-April of the current year amounted to 380,010.3 million drams with an increase of 18% compared to January-April of last year. The share of the information and communication sector accounts for 21.7% (volume 254,791.3 million drams, an increase of 16.4%), the share of transport and the organization of accommodation and public catering - 8.9% each (volume 104,336.2 million drams, a decline of 11.9%, and also 104,228.8 million drams and an increase of 4.2%, respectively). The share of culture, entertainment and recreation is 7.9% (volume 92,762.8 million drams, growth by 3.3%), professional, scientific and technical activities - 4.8% (volume 56,355.3 million drams, growth by 5.1%), and healthcare and social security of the population - 4.7% (volume 55,510.9 million drams, growth by 7%). The share of real estate activities is 4% (volume 46,881.3 million drams, growth by 14.7%), administrative and auxiliary activities - 3.2% (volume 37,464.8 million drams, growth by 7.4%), and education - 2.7% (volume 31,680.6 million drams, growth by 4.8%).
