Supply of Russian gas to Armenia rises by 7.7 percent in three months

Supply of natural gas from Russia to Armenia in the first quarter this year increased by 7.7 percent from the year before to 719.1 million cubic meters, Armenia’s national gas distribution company, Gazprom Armenia, said today.

YEREVAN, April 15. / ARKA /. Supply of natural gas from Russia to Armenia in the first quarter this year increased by 7.7 percent from the year before to 719.1 million cubic meters, Armenia’s national gas distribution company, Gazprom Armenia, said today.

The Russian-owned company said sales of gas also increased by 5 percent to 674 million cubic meters.

The company said gas consumption by energy generating facilities increased by 30.5 % to 212.7 million cubic meters, consumption by liquefied gas stations increased by 8% to 105 million cubic meters and consumption by other consumers grew by 2.7% to 85.3 million cubic meters.

However, consumption by industrial sector decreased by 29.4% to 48.9 million cubic meters and by households by 3.2% to 222 million cubic meters. -0-
