YEREVAN, December 2. /ARKA/. The "Textile Industry Operator" Fund, established in Armenia, will serve as a platform for collaboration between the public, private, and educational sectors to modernize production, stimulate exports, and promote Armenian brands, according to the press service of the RA Ministry of Economy.

As Deputy Minister of Economy Edgar Zakharyan noted, the textile industry is one of the country's strategic sectors and has great potential, both in terms of exports and added value creation.

"The sustainable development of this industry requires a systematic approach, innovative solutions, and effective mechanisms for cooperation between the public and private sectors. To this end, the "Textile Industry Operator" Fund was established by a government decision dated July 24, 2025," he said. The Deputy Minister also emphasized that the Fund is tasked with implementing industry policies, localizing international experience, implementing state support programs, and promoting Armenian textile production.

The Fund was established at the initiative of the RA Ministry of Economy with the support of the UK Government (Good Governance Fund), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and the Investment Council of Armenia.
